The steady growth of the Philippine economy has been a major determinant in the birth of ASL Logistics Worldwide Inc. in the Philippines. Despite the economic setbacks that our country has experienced, the freight forwarding industry still present windows of opportunities to local and foreign investors. The reason behind this is evidenced by the strength of our economy when the Asian currency crisis swept through the region. Our country, the Philippines, was least affected. Notwithstanding the devaluation of the peso due to external factors, economists still predicted positive end results as we all witness today.
Foreign and local investors have indicated their interest in our country by investing in our export processing zones. As a direct result. new companies have mushroomed in the manufacturing and transport industries.
To support this endeavor, the government has taken all possible measures to alleviate taxes and duties to ensure the steady growth of these industries.
To take advantage of the positive economic factors, ASL Logistics Worldwide Inc. was born through the hard work and patience of Ms. Alicia S. Mayo. Having worked and gained experience as a marketing consultant with various freight forwarding companies in the last
10 years, Ms. Mayo opted to establish ASL Logistics Worldwide Inc.
Started off with an office desk in a shared office environment was all it took to establish the network and list of agents of ASL Logistics Worldwide Inc. last September, 1996. Almost 2 years from start-up date of September 1996, the company was finally incorporated in August 1998 as a separate entity, primarily to engage in Airfreight forwarding, Sea Freight forwarding, Consolidation and Breakbulkings.
With a present capitalization of 10 Million Pesos, a pool of professional businessmen and executives engaged in the airfreight and sea freight forwarding formally forged a merger with one of the largest forwarding group in the US. ASL Logistics Worldwide Inc. is now represented worldwide with more than 100 offices and agents in various countries. With ASL’s reliable network’s offices and agents we can assure efficient and safe handling of cargoes through Air, Sea or Land movements in any part of the world.
Today, after 10 yrs in operations, ASL Logistics Worldwide Inc. has now its newly expanded office at Gedcor Square Building with a 200 sq. meters office space. It also has its Warehouse Facility located just besides the building of about 500 sq. meters floor area to cater to some of our clients storage needs and requirements. ASL Logistics Worldwide Inc. continues to make improvements to give business a range of options to meet our customer’s individual needs at a price that fits their budget.
